The night before the big launch…

It’s Friday night, and the energy is electric. Tomorrow marks a huge milestone for us—our very first public event—and the anticipation couldn’t be higher.

Mandy and Neal have travelled north to join Sharon, Sarah, and me, and the team spirit is stronger than ever. Our uniforms are laid out and ready, each one a symbol of how far we’ve come.

In the kitchen, potatoes are being peeled, sausages are sizzling, and the smell of good old sausage and mash fills the air. It’s the perfect meal—hearty, comforting, and exactly what we need as we fuel up for tomorrow’s big day.

Around the table, laughter mixes with focused planning. We’re double-checking schedules, picturing the faces we’ll meet, and imagining how the launch will unfold. Every glance and smile carries the same message: we’re ready.

The excitement is real, the possibilities endless. Tomorrow, we finally get to share what we’ve been working so hard on—and we can’t wait.

A Night to Remember at Gresley Old Hall

The morning of the big day finally arrived, and excitement filled the air. The team was up bright and early, ready to make sure every detail was perfect. Mandy and Neal completed their final checks of the equipment, ensuring everything was ready for the night ahead.

Sharon and I spent the morning working on the website, fine-tuning the final touches, while Sharon also jumped on a call with our web host to make sure everything was running smoothly. Meanwhile, Sarah prepared fresh content for social media and geared herself up for a busy night capturing all the moments our guests would experience.

When we arrived at Gresley Old Hall, the atmosphere immediately set the tone for the evening. We unloaded the equipment, arranged the refreshments, and got ourselves ready for our guests’ arrival. Once everyone had gathered, we kicked things off with a warm welcome, a health and safety briefing, and an overview of how the night would unfold.

The evening began with a full group vigil, giving our guests the chance to build their energy and connect with the spirits we’d be communicating with throughout the night. From there, each of the four vigils delivered its own spine-tingling moments of excitement and intrigue.

During the Victorian Séance, a skull mysteriously moved on the table — a moment that left everyone speechless. In the mirror scrying session, guests watched as their reflections seemed to shift and change before their eyes. The human pendulum brought through personal and powerful messages from spirit, while the technology sessions ended with guests being told, quite forcefully, to “get out!”

From start to finish, the energy was electric and the atmosphere charged. Every guest contributed to the night’s success, bringing openness, curiosity, and enthusiasm that kept activity flowing until the very end.

It was truly a night to remember — one filled with laughter, surprises, and a few chills along the way. Gresley Old Hall once again proved why it remains one of our most spine-tingling and unforgettable locations.

Weather, Witches, and Wales…

Live Investigation – Saturday 25th October 2025

Our live this week took place in the deepest, darkest, and most emphatically wettest Wales. The rain was relentless — it poured, it lashed, it soaked through everything. But thankfully, our witches don’t melt! Instead, they gather the water in their cauldron, chant their spells… and add coffee to it.

Yes, coffee — the real magic potion and the unsung hero of today’s blog. But before we all gathered around the witches’ cauldron (or coffee pot, for the muggles reading), let’s take a look at how the team prepared for the live broadcast.

☕ Pre-Live Preparations

Sandie, making her debut on the live, spent Friday night immersing herself in spirit — though her chosen concoction of Porn Star Martinis and red wine may not have been quite what we expected! Thankfully, coffee came to her rescue the next morning, bringing her back from the brink of spiritual (and physical) exhaustion.

Emi, also joining the live for the first time, spent Saturday morning realigning her and refuelling with chicken and, you guessed it… coffee.

Sarah was up bright and early, preparing breakfast, scheduling content for Facebook, and getting ready for the mammoth drive down to South Wales. Fortunately, she managed a quick pit stop en route to meet Mandy and Neal for a McDonald’s refuel — and yes, another round of coffee!

Mandy and Neal, meanwhile, had spent the days leading up to the live charging equipment, testing tech, and prepping the all-important props (keep an eye on our socials — you won’t want to miss why those were needed!). Before setting off, they loaded up the car, grabbed a McDonald’s breakfast, and, of course, the true star of the show… more coffee.

🎬 Lights, Camera, (Witchy) Action

By mid-afternoon, the team had all gathered together. After greetings, hugs, and a few laughs, it was straight down to business. Props were distributed, content was filmed, and a few behind-the-scenes snippets were captured ready for social media — keep your eyes peeled, you won’t regret it.

Then came the main event — the live investigation! Despite some impromptu Welsh lessons, Neal’s grasp on the language remains… let’s say, a work in progress. Thankfully, Sandie stepped up to introduce our viewers to our enchanting location for the night: Castell Coch — a gothic fairytale castle nestled in the Welsh hills, and the perfect place for a paranormal investigation.

As the night unfolded, things started to get interesting. Equipment was touched, senses were heightened, and yes — people were touched too! 👀

Even our viewers at home reported sensations and strange feelings while watching the live — proof that whatever energy was present at Castell Coch wasn’t just confined to Wales.

Halloween Weekend – Spooks, Shows, and Storms!

Halloween weekend — and what a weekend it was for the Do You Believe Paranormal team! 🎃

For the all-important Facebook Live, Mandy and Neal spent the week debating, discussing, and (maybe just a touch of) arguing over the perfect location. With October in England, the weather was always going to have the final say — and rain was guaranteed. So, they made the call to return to one of our old faithfuls: Anchor Caves.

It’s never failed to deliver activity before… and it didn’t disappoint this time either. 👀

Meanwhile… Craft Fayre Chaos!

While Mandy and Neal were braving the elements, Sharon, Sarah, Lucas, and I were preparing for something a little different — our first Craft Fayre!

Sarah packed up her car, and Sharon and I packed ours (with Lucas tucked in somewhere amongst all the goodies we were taking along). Once there, we met plenty of friendly faces — fellow stall holders, curious visitors, and even some new friends at the venue. We may have also made a few interesting connections for potential future investigations… 👻 so keep your eyes peeled for what’s to come!

☕ Round Two at Knowsley

That was just Friday! The next day, it was up bright and early for another craft fayre — this time in Knowsley. Another day of chatting, connecting, and discovering yet another possible investigation location.

It’s safe to say our Halloween weekend was full of opportunities, connections, and excitement — both in the spirit world and the real one.

Lots of great things are brewing from this busy weekend for all five of us… and we can’t wait to share what’s next.
